Vail Vision Volume 2 Issue 26

We remember again this week...

On Monday I watched my daughter played a soccer game. It was a beautiful St. Louis day and it was fun to sit with the other parents and watch our children. It wasn't until the middle of the second half when I remembered “ once again that day “ that it was September 11th.

I do not know why the Bin Ladens of the world hate western culture. I do not know when the United States may be viciously attacked again. I do not know where or with what method. One thing I am sure of, though, is that we have not seen the last of evil. For as much as I love democracy, and as much as I would like to see it practiced in other lands, it is not the cure against evil. There is no perfect form of government that is. For as long as the earth spins after the fall, evil will always be at the doorstep waiting to pounce. The only place where evil cannot exist is in the presence of the Almighty.

But for a few moments on Monday, evil was a long way off. Children were playing, birds were chirping and moms and dads were enjoying it all. I praise God for those moments. May they abundantly overflow in your life too.

In Peace,

David Hook
