Position Title: Finance Teller #1Responsible to: Treasurer of CLV BOMD
Key Objective: To accurately assist in the accounting, recording and the preparation of the weekly bank deposit of the worship service offerings.  
Average Time Commitment: Approximately 30 - 40 minutes, about eight Sunday mornings in a six month period.   This would total about eleven hours a year.  Length of Service: As long as a volunteer can commit to the task, most volunteers expect to make at least a 1 year commitment, but may stay longer.
General Duties (Required for all volunteers): 1. Attend all volunteer meetings2. Discuss any questions or problems with Treasurer.3. Arrange for substitute when not available.4. Attend trainings on the position and related subjects as offered.  
Specific Duties for the Position: 1.   Empty Treasurer's pouch of the offerings and sort contents into:     a.   offering envelopes     b.   loose cash and coin     c.   loose checks - stamp with CLV endorsement stamp, give to Teller #2 for          indentification of donors with envelopes that did not use them that day       d.   other special offerings-these should also be given to Teller #2      e.   assist in the counting and recording of the loose cash and coin2.   Sort envelopes by numerical order starting with the lowest number (100) on top.3.   Assist other teller and Board of Ministry member (BOMD) count loose cash and coin.4.   When Teller #2 is prepared - open envelopes, starting with lowest number.       a.   remove offering from envelope, check to see if amount written on envelope matches the amount in the envelope, if no amount is written on envelope, write the amount on it.       c.   read the envelope # and the amount of offering to Teller #2.       d.   after Teller #2 has recorded amount on report form, pass the offering to BOMD for recording on the deposit slip.         e.   stack empty envelopes, keeping them in numerical order and rubber band them5.   Assist teller #2 and BOMD in placing total offerings into deposit bag along with deposit slips. (NOTE:   All single loose check offerings over $250 and Building Funds are placed in staff pouch for acknowledgement and separate deposit).  
Training/Resources Available: On the job  
Measure of Success: The offering deposit slip total and the total offering amount are equal.   All records are completed properly and the deposit is ready.
