Position Title: Hospitality Host/HostessResponsible to: Hospitality Coordinator
Key Objective: The fellowship time after Sunday morning services is an integral part of the cohesiveness and culture of the congregation.   The Hospitality Hosts and Hostesses provide refreshments, oversee the snack table after services, greet congregation members as they get their snacks, and clean up the table after the fellowship hour.  
Average Time Commitment: Time to bake or buy treats, and about an hour after services Length of Service: One Sunday per signup sheet
Qualifications: Hospitality skills and willing hands!  
General Duties (Required for all volunteers): 1. Attend all volunteer meetings.2. Discuss any questions with supervisor.3. Arrange for coverage when needed with supervisor.4. Attend trainings on the position and related subjects as offered.  
Specific Duties for the Position: 1. Sign up at the treat table to bring items (and encourage others to do so, too.) Two Hosts/Hostesses are needed for the 1st, 4th and occasional 5th Sunday.2. Bring 5-6 dozen treats (bake or buy) such as cookies, donuts, muffins, etc. on the Sunday designated.3. It is not necessary to arrive early to church, just place your covered items on the snack table that is already set up for you before the service.4. During the last part of the service, walk quietly to the snack table and begin uncovering items for serving. Place napkins in convenient locations on the table.5. Ensure that the children do not take too many treats (they usually hit the table first).   Encourage them to take a couple of items, then return later, if they would like more.6. This is a good opportunity for you to greet members of the congregation and show visitors our hospitality.   Encourage them to come back! 7.   The snack sign up sheet should be on the table.   Encourage members to sign up.8.   When everyone is served, and people are leaving, you can wipe down the tablecloth, and fold it, placing it on the cart.   The Coffee Coordinator knows where this is stored and will put it away for you.   9. You may take your leftovers home, or place in the freezer bags and the Hospitality Coordinator will take home to freeze and bring back for another Sunday.10.
