Strategic Plan
In 2008, Christ Lutheran Vail Church undertook a strategic planning process to refine the vision of the congregation and plan for the future. The Strategic Plan was completed in three phases. We worked with Trevor Bron from TAG Consulting to assist us with the process. Kevin Ford, President of TAG Consulting, is the author of Transforming Church".
In Phase 2 Christ Lutheran Vail held a strategic planning retreat over a two-day period during the summer of 2008. At the end of this retreat we:
- considered a new mission statement,
- drafted core values,
- drafted strategic objectives, and
- developed a profile of our "target audience".
The findings from the retreat were published in a Strategic Planning Report
In Phase 3. The results from Phase 2 were refined and tested over the course of meetings that were held in August-October, 2008. Then, the core values were shared with the congregation through townhall meetings held in late 2008 and early 2009. A detail description of the core values can be found in the sermon series, "Core Values" presented in early 2009.
Strategic Plan Update
In 2012, Christ Lutheran Vail performed an update to the strategic plan. This can be found in the CLV 2012 WaveII Strategic Framework
