Observations from Trunk or Treat

Hello all you Christ Lutheran Vail peeps. I thought I'd share my observations about Trunk or Treat this year:

I did not know that a restored tractor could look so cool.

Thanks to everyone who manned the concession sales. I can't believe you sold all those hot dogs?

I loved each and every decorated car. It took me awhile to figure out that Ralph French was Frankenstein from Frankenmuth.

I wanted to play all the games!

I absolutely loved the Hillbilly band. Nothing like a stand-up bass and mandolin.

God loves me??? It turns out that the Pink Bunny Suit didn't work out. It had a big pink bunny head which would have obscured my face. So they got the white bunny suit with the pink ears and tail. I heard a rumor that next year was going to be a Tinkerbell suit. Not going there!

The Vail Vikings Football playoffs went much later this year. A lot of Vail Vikings Football costumes. Hmmm.

I am amazed by tow truck drivers. With five minutes to spare, he was able to hook up a car and take it out of our area.

Nice firefighters and law enforcement officers. What a great group of public servants we have.

Even big white bunnies can scare people. Sorry little kid at the Eye Spy car. I didn't mean to make you cry. But at least you found me!

I really liked the T-shirts indicating the trunk-or-treat candy team. What a great idea!

Thanks to everyone who put in so much time, effort, and passion into our Trunk or Treat. What a great family-friendly event. You touched many people in many ways. I am so impressed with the simplicity of the event. It isn't flashy or fancy, just a bunch of people dressing up and handing out candy. Can it get any better than that?

Blessings,
