A Reflection...

Today we close out 2011 and begin 2012. It's a time when many people ponder the past year and make plans for the new one. I guess I am not different. So here are some observations about life on the threshold of a new year.

• I am another year older but I don't feel another year wiser. In fact, I am to the point where I can't even program the TV-thingy.

• Electronics have taken over our life. In 2012, I will try to use them less. Actually, I wonder if there is an iPhone App for that.

• 2011 is the year the chickens came home to roost... literally.

• In 2012 I am going to exercise more. I am also going to lose weight. I am also going to walk on the moon. (Hey, a man can dream...)

• I really, really, really, hope they start building the Safeway in 2009. I mean 2010. Oops, I mean 2011. 2012? OK. I really mean 2013.

• I am predicting that in 2012 I will a) Pull weeds. b) Still get a letter from the Home Owner's Association about weeds and c) Pull hair.

• I need an automatic garage cleaner. Do they make such a thing? The biological ones don't work.

I pray that God richly blesses you in 2012. I am so excited about this upcoming year. We will have many changes this year and it will be so exciting to see what God has in store. I am excited to be serving in Vail.
