Day 40 - June 15

Day 40 - June 15, 2012

When we pray in faith, we need to be ready to receive from God answers to our prayers. He will answer them in ways we can't even think or imagine! I have had prayers answered in my life that were about problems I never thought could be solved. Then again, I've also prayed for things that I didn't think were very important and God answered my prayers in ways that boggled my mind.

Sometimes God answers two prayers at once as He did for us - an "important" prayer that we prayed about having more children and an "unimportant" prayer that I prayed that I would get my body in better shape. God's answer to the two prayers was that God gave us two more children, including an incredibly active 1 year old. Who says God doesn't have a sense of humor? I haven't had such muscular biceps in years!

As we close these 40 days of prayer, I encourage you to seek God out with all your heart. A relationship with Him must include praise, thanksgiving, repentance and petition. He cares about all the large and small things in our lives. God promises that when our hearts delight in Him, He will give us the desires of our hearts (Psalm 37). So let's spend today and all our days delighting in Him, in eager expectation of all the amazing things He will do.
