JUNIOR DISCIPLES RELAY TEAM
The Confirmation Youth Group has formed a team: “Junior Disciples – Christ Lutheran Vail” for the Relay for Life on May 15th & 16th. We are raising funds to help the American Cancer Society with research; accommodations for cancer patients; transportation for cancer patients; support programs and much more. Would you like to support our team? The youth are offering luminaria for a $10 donation. They will be at a table in the back for the next few weeks. Dedicating a luminaria is a way to remember loved ones lost to cancer and honor those battling the disease. You can personalize it with a name, photo, message or drawing. Each luminaria candle represents a person. They are our mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, friends, coworkers, and so many others. The luminaria will line the track at Empire High School and light up the night for the powerful Luminaria Ceremony on Friday evening. . If you would prefer to help in another way, it’s super easy to donate online – go to the website: relayforlife.org/tucsonvailaz and click on “donate” and then “donate to a team”. Scroll down to our team “Junior Disciples – Christ Lutheran Vail” and follow the prompts. Oh, and save your change – the youth will be having a bake sale on Sunday, May 3! Yumm!! Thank you so much for your support!
