About Christ Lutheran Vail

Christ Lutheran Vail is a Christian church for the Vail Community.  We welcome all people who are looking for a solid Bible-based community sharing God's eternal truths.  Worship is held at 9:00 AM Sunday morning at Cienega High School Auditorium.

 

As a member congregation of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod our goal is to touch 100,000,000 million hearts with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Learn more about the ABLAZE! initiative.

Sunday Morning Ministries PDF Print E-mail

On every Sunday morning, we transform Cienega High School into a place for worship.  This takes the dedication of many people.  Here is a list of the ministries that are active on Sunday morning.

 

Ushers

The ushers hand out bulletins, greet people and help them on Sunday morning.

 

Altar Guild

The altar guild sets up for communion on the first and third Sundays of each month.

 

Church Setup

A team of people remove the lunch tables, set up the chairs, and setup the ministry tables.  At the end of worship, everyone picks up their own chair.

 

Coffee and Snacks

After worship is a great time to grab a cup of coffee and a snack.  The coffee and snack team facilitate the coffee and snacks.

 

Nursery

A nursery is provided for toddlers.  They come out for the children's message.

 

Sunday School

Sunday school is offered for ages K-12th grade.

 

Readers

Readers will read the scripture lessons for each Sunday.

 

Acolytes

Acolytes light and extinguish the candle at each church service.
