DINNER FOR 6 (formerly Dinner for 8):

Want to know our church family better? "Breaking bread" together is a great way to do this. One couple hosts and provides the main course and drinks, the other couples bring whatever is needed to complete the menu...and it doesn't have to be fancy.... paper plates are highly encouraged. If you don't cook or don't want to cook, don't let that stop you from participating. Pick a restaurant and go out to eat. Everyone pays for their own meal...and the dishes are done for you. Dinner not your thing...breakfast, lunch or even a picnic will work. Anyone, married or single, is welcome to participate. SUNDAY SCHOOL RALLY DAY

Sunday School at Christ Lutheran Vail will start on Sunday, Aug. 26th with a fantastic Rally Day!! There will be classes provided for pre-school through 8th grade. NO MEN’S FELLOWSHIP/BIBLE STUDY IN AUG.

There will be no Men’s Fellowship/Bible Study in the month of August. We will resume on Saturday, Sept. 8 at 7:30am and will begin a new study called Lutheranism 101. This study will be an exciting journey together as we grow deeper in our understanding of our Lutheran confession. If you have never been to our Men’s Fellowship/ Bible Study, or perhaps not recently, this is a great time to try us out!!! Each meeting starts with a potluck breakfast followed by our study. We finish up by 9:00am. CLV will provide the materials for this study so we need a count of who will attend. For this purpose, a signup sheet and flyers will be available in the Welcome Center every Sunday. Please contact Paul Bartley (546-6608) or Jim Schween (762-1409) if you have any questions.

JR. HIGH “END OF YEAR” PARTY

All of the 6-7-8 graders from last year are invited to the “Year End Party” at the Lowe’s home on Sunday, August 12th after church until 3pm. We will swim, eat and have fun!!! Hamburgers and hotdogs will be provided, please bring a side dish to share. Parents are encouraged to stay for the first hour (or the whole time!) to discuss the upcoming year.
